A central theme among many students who come to the attention of a  CARE/BIT team is the need for academic support and/or accommodations. This program will stress the importance of having a team member with detailed knowledge about the accommodation process and how to help students navigate these discussions with faculty. We will discuss the importance of information privacy, how and what to share with the team, accommodations as interim measures to hospitalizations, and Title IX investigations. Supplemental handouts, support and guidance will be provided as part of this importance course.
