DEI staff can play a critical role on the CARE/BIT team in terms of reviewing team messaging and advertising and how it is received by certain groups, how to ensure information gathering and assessment is done in a way that mitigates bias and that team interventions are informed on topics of cultural, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, socio-economic status, and neurodiversity. This course will offer advice for the DEI professional to navigate the CARE/BIT space and how to help educate and enlist the membership in the important educational and preventative work of the DEI office. The course contains useful supplemental materials, organizations, and references for DEI staff to further their education on how they can function as an effective member of the team.
This course can also be purchased as part of the Membership Bundle.
