Student conduct and disciplinary staff should be the one of three primary members of every CARE/BIT and threat team (along with campus safety/police and ounseling). Conduct staff have the ability to mandate and require students to comply with actions such as parental notification, attending meetings, completing assessments, and coordinating larger actions such as suspensions. The conduct position on the team is a critical one and often takes on leadership and management roles, depending on the system in which they work. The course contains useful supplemental materials, organizations, and references for conduct staff to further their education on how they can function as an effective member of the team.
